Abstract Submission General Guidelines 

  1. Abstracts for free papers and e-posters categories are welcomed for submission. Please select the right category for the abstract.
  2. The abstract must be written in English (UK).
  3. AUTHORS – FIRST (PRESENTING) AUTHOR– The first author will be the presenting author. The first (presenting) author is expected to register and pay the full registration fee, attend the symposium and make the presentation.
  4. Please provide an accurate email address for the first (presenting) author. All correspondence on the abstract will be through email to the first author.
  5. The ABSTRACT TITLE must be appropriate and concise. Avoid using abbreviations in the title.
  6. Abstract content (excluding title, authors, highest degrees and institutions) should include the following headings: OBJECTIVE, METHODS, RESULTS and CONCLUSIONS. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. Do not include graphs, tables, images or references in the abstract. Do not mention in the abstract the names of any affiliated institutes, academic institutions, hospitals, etc. or names of any individuals involved in the study. The Scientific Committee has the right to reject any abstract that does not comply with the guideline. The committee also has the right to change the abstract
  7. Define each abbreviation the first time it is used in the abstract by placing what it stands for in parentheses.
  8. It is the author’s responsibility to submit an abstract with correct spelling and grammar. The Scientific Committee, however, reserves the right to edit the abstract if it has significant spelling and grammatical mistakes.
  9. Submitted abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the Scientific Committee. The scientific committee has the right to change the selected category of abstract accordingly. The review process is confidential and the decision is final.
  10. The Scientific Committee strongly recommends that authors submit their abstracts as early as possible in order to avoid a last-minute rush and congestion.
  11. Late submissions will NOT be considered.
  12. The first authors will be notified of the abstract selection results in the latest by31 August 2019 through email.

Checklist

Before submission, please check:

  1. If the abstract has a concise, descriptive title;
  2. If the study has sufficient data leading to conclusive outcomes;
  3. If the names of any affiliated institutes, academic institutions, hospitals and individuals involved in the study have been removed;
  4. If the abstract states clearly the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions of the study;
  5. If the study is conducted in a methodologically correct way;
  6. If the abstract is proofread and/or edited by a native speaker of English;
  7. If the abstract is within the word limit;
  8. If financial disclosures for each of the authors are made.

Guidelines for Electronic Poster (E-Poster) Presenters

(subject to decision by Scientific Committee)

 

  1. E-posters should be displayed in a single Microsoft PowerPoint slides, including:-
    – Title and authors’ information
    – Introduction
    – Objectives and method
    – Result
    – Discussion
    – Conclusion
  2. E-poster may include text, figures, tables, and images BUT NO video/animations.
  3. Selected e-poster can be viewed anytime during the conference.
  4. The presenting author must be a registered participant.
  5. Use Times New Roman or Arial fonts.
  6. The Font size should be no smaller than 18 point.
  7. Use a plain background without patterns or dark colors.
  8. Use clear headings and leave spaces between sections.
  9. Pictures and graphics should be clearly labeled and described.
  10. Pictures and graphics should be of good quality.
  11. Correct spelling and punctuation make your e-poster more attractive and informative.
  12. The file should be no more than 7 MB (more than this size, it will be rejected automatically)

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. no later than 31 July 2019, e-poster received after 31 July 2019 will be rejected.
  14. Failure to present your accepted abstract(s) at this meeting will result in blacklist from presenting at subsequent conjoint meeting unless the authors submit reasonable excuse in writing.

 

Guidelines for Oral Free Paper Presenter 

  1. Presenters are required to prepare a Powerpoint Presentation and there will be a discussion with the judges/moderators after each presentation. The maximum allocated time will be 15 minutes for both.
  2. The presentation should include:
    a. Title and authors’ information
    b. Introduction
    c. Objectives and method
    d. Result
    e. Discussion
    f.  Conclusion
  3. The presenting author must be a registered participant.
  4. Use a plain background without patterns or dark colors.
  5. Use clear headings and leave spaces between sections.
  6. Pictures and graphics should be clearly labeled and described.
  7. Pictures and graphics should be of good quality.
  8. Text should not be obscured by images.
  9. Do not fit too much information on one slide.
  10. Prize presentation will be held during the General Assembly (time will be advised).

  12. The file should be no more than 10MB. (more than this size, it will be rejected automatically)
  13. Presenting authors should check the Powerpoint slides at Speaker Ready Room in the venue before the presenting session, and get ready in the venue of free paper presentation 15 minutes before starting of the session.
  14. Failure to present your accepted abstract(s) at this meeting will result in blacklist from presenting at subsequent conjoint meeting unless the authors submit reasonable excuse in writing.

This is the template for the Abstract. Delete the original text once you have inserted your text.

Please use Times New Roman font, 12 point. Type or paste your text into this file, but remember to keep the page margins the same as is set here which is 2.5 cm all round. 

Paragraphs are justified (straight-edged) on both left and right. Use single-line spacing and leave a line gap between paragraphs. The text should not exceed 300 words and submitted in a structured format using standardized subheadings (Objectives, Methods, Results & Conclusion).

The abstract deadline is July 31st, 2019. All participants must register online through the conference website before they can submit the abstract. Formal acceptance of abstract notification will be emailed.

Due to limited space for oral presentation, the organizers will inform those who submit abstracts for oral presentation whether the paper is scheduled for oral or poster presentation. 

Abstracts that do not meet these formatting requirements will be returned.  The organizing committee reserves the right to edit abstracts for clarity or correctness of English but will consult the author if any significant changes are needed.
